Start paying attention so that you can learn to manage fear.
Life is going to continue to give us stormy weather. Mindfulness helps us navigate the storms.
You can learn how to be grateful for all the good things in your life, right now, learn how to focus your attention on the current moment, in which you are not hungry, not in pain, alive! with family and friends. Be present in the current moment and stop worrying about stuff that is out of your control.
People have been practicing focusing their attention, living in the present, for thousands of years and somehow Western society missed the memo.
Western society left that money on the table! People who are able to regulate their emotions have a great advantage.
Consider the ability to manage fear. People who are willing to feel fear and even feel the feelings they fear (we are afraid of feelings, y’all) have the advantage. People who are able to be with the discomfort of rejection, disappointment, embarrassment, and reframe failure as learning, and try again, have the advantage.
Are they going to figure it out and eventually find success? Likely.
I’m willing to walk with fear and be uncomfortable so that I can continue to iterate, learn, and create the life I want to live.
